Much like bad weather tore through the northwest the previous evening, the home side blew the visitors away at the Etihad Stadium. It was a convincing three goal victory for their manager's side due to goals from Rebecca Knaak, Shaw and Hemp. It was a result that firmly established their title credentials as they reinforced their standing at the WSL pinnacle.

Back-to-Back Setbacks for United
