Assassin's Creed Introduces Unexpected Attack on Titan Collaboration for Thanksgiving
In a bizarre partnership that breaks conventional forecasts, Ubisoft has revealed an in-game partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected Thanksgiving event runs from November 25 through December 22, offering free additional story content for Shadows players.
Strange Adventure Revealed
According to the official release, "A strange meeting pulls heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh adventure, where rumors of banned ceremonies and fearsome changes reverberate through the shadows." The narrative presents a "strangely attired woman named Ada" who tasks the pair with venturing into the Crystalline Cavern—a important location from Attack on Titan—to save her ally from a clandestine group.
The questline concentrates on "strange tests and a terrifying enemy" and is open to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.
Familiar Settings and Transformations
The preview features the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was earlier where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The preview ends with a striking scene showing a character, likely the captive, morphing into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.
Unique Rewards and Additional Material
Players who finish the mission will acquire an exclusive katana alongside numerous objects secreted throughout the area in secret chests. The update also contains purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, offering:
- Titan-themed costume for Yasuke
- Mikasa attire for Naoe
- Special weapons
- Survey Corps mount
Newest Free Story Update
This patch also brings the game's latest no-cost story content, titled "The Enigma." This lighthearted adventure pairs Naoe and Yasuke as they exchange signature skills: Naoe introduces a theatrical interpretation of Yasuke's war kick, while Yasuke learns non-lethal stealth takedowns. Faithful to its name, "The Mystery" also includes a fresh environmental puzzle that may eventually shed light on some unanswered questions from the main storyline.
